“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2012.”
Che: His behaviour was appalling…and then I realised that it was dusk and he hadn’t eaten since lunch.ย
Poet: Like the cat got the cream, Poet got the sugar.
ย
By far and most definitely my favourite portrait of Poet. Do you agree?

One of the biggest surprises in this crazy motherhood journey has to be just how much food children need to eat. Astounding.

It's amazing isn't it. Che is a grazer and although we had a late lunch on the day this photo was taken it wasn't quite enough. We ended up having a big dinner….and a very early night! x

What a great idea Jodi! I have a friend who is doing a 365 challenge on Instagram and she's kept it up and is almost done. I love the picture of Poet but I think my favorite is the one of Che, I love the light and the expression on his face. I hope you're having a great Sunday!

It so strange because I really do see it, all the time. If you look at my baby photos it's like looking at the same child….but Poet's eyes are bigger! x

What beautiful portraits! Poet looks so full of life…and mischief. And the little man…hunger certainly does crazy things to children (and adults too!). We've all been there though I'm sure. Nothing quite like a full belly to see your children return to themselves as opposed to something out of The Exorcist!Hope you're having a lovely Sunday ๐Ÿ™‚ x

Aww, Che looks quite forlorn in that first photo. Cohen's actions get more and more exaggerated the hungrier or tireder he gets. Including the sad faces. ๐Ÿ™‚

And Poet, she is hands down adorable!

I think that here Poet looks a bit like Daniel.. something to do with the smile. It's always interesting who looks like who at different stages – recently my grandad gave me a memoir he wrote of my grandma, who died in her late forties before I was born. He had recently updated it to include a whole lot of family photos of my dad's family and it was so interesting to see the similarities between his sisters and my sister and I and him as a teenager and my brothers (now teenagers). It was such a lovely gift.

I love this portrait of Poet, but I love the ones where she was still a bubba doing those lippy pouts with big eyes, too cute! I totally get the sugar thing, my Jasper always sneakily sneaks the sugar and throws it back before I have time to pick up on it! Che…I completely see that expression in Jasper…the 'i know Ive been bad mom, but im so sweet, right' …is that his expression? x
