2 children, 52 weeks, 104 photos.I think the beauty of this project is discovered in retrospect; when you look back and realise that regardless of how fast and busy the year was, there were so many little moments that were quiet and precious and memorable. They mean so much more to me that the big events because they’re honest reflections of everyday life.
At the start of the year I promised myself that I would take as many candid portraits as I could. I wanted to take the time to be in the now, observe the moment and, if possible, capture it on camera. There were many moments that never made it into this space; but the 104 that did, they are pictures I will always cherish – because they tell our story.

Happy holidays. I'm glad that in my own way I managed to collect some pictures which I can easily turn into a portraiture book for my daughter.
Next year I want to focus on linking up weekly up connect more with everyone.

I always love looking at your photos! (I'm sorry I'm so terrible with not always commenting to tell you that.) I was about to ask if you would be continuing into the new year, and am so glad to read that you are. I think this is something I will start for 2014 as well. I need a push to take more candids of my little guys and be able to have those memories captured. Looking forward to following along with you again!

I will definitely be joining for 2014. I love the idea of weekly picture that stories our life. It was a wonderful way to document year number two with my beautiful baby girl (who's not a baby anymore!).

thank you so much for inspiring me to document my daughters 2nd year of life like this. i take so many photos of her already, but having a little collection like this, fully edited, and with a written memory to go along with it, makes it all so much more special. i love this project and will absolutely continue next year. i can't wait to see what you have in store for us with your new changes. thank you again!
Beautiful images. My parents gifted me a new DSLR for Christmas — I'll be participating in this project to both capture photos of my two girls each week…and learn to work my new toy. Thank you for hosting this project!

i'm gonna participate this year! i found your blog through another blog part way through the series last year and never got around to joining. this year though, it's my goal to do all 52 weeks!
I had such a wonderful year capturing my beautiful boys. I didn't think I would make it from start to finish, but I did, all 52 weeks!! That's a huge achievement for me, I think I'll even join in for 2014, I can't wait!
Also, your new Blog name is perfect, and it all looks stunning!
