living local : a weekend drive to the lake

You know that I cherish photos but when it comes to film…well, it captures the best stories. I just wish we could all make it in front of the camera.

For the past six weeks I’ve been lucky enough to drive around in the Ford Ecosport Titanium. For someone that has only ever driven well loved and very used cars, it’s been an absolute treat to zip about in a brand new and very compact SUV. I’ve never really experienced what the industry calls “ease of driving” before but I can assure you that a plethora of mod cons really does make car travel enjoyable – as does that feeling of being “up high” – it really does make you feel safer. The height of the Ecosport means getting the kids in and out of their carseats is a breeze, the reverse sensors are a comfort when squeezing out of tight carparks and the automatic windscreen wipers and lights ensure there are two less things I need to think about whilst driving. But you know what the Ecosport’s best feature is? Its ability to lull young children to sleep.

Thanks to Kidspot Voices 2014 and Ford for the the opportunity. It’s been grand.

GIFs are the closest thing we can get to moving pictures that aren't videos, unless we go to the wizarding world! teehee. My family owned an Acura when we were back in the States and it was so comfortable. I wish we could have brought it over with us during our move to Beijing! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

I felt particularly lucky the other day when we were watching the film of Che's first week of life. Such precious, special memories there – to hear our voices, to hear his first cries, to watch us as we brought him home for the first time – priceless x
