hro…hro

…translation (hello, hello).

New phones, old phones, vintage phones, mobile phones. Give my little one some buttons and he’s happy. His little index finger pushes each individual button – 1, 2, 3, 4. And then he giggles. It is rather sweet to watch.

In the last few weeks I’ve all of a sudden remembered the contentment that comes when a child is in the wonderful world of play. Sometimes I join in, other times I just observe and occasionally I start to work on my own little projects. We are busy, our home is calm and all is well.

And look at this gorgeous new bookshelf that Che’s Ommi found in the local church op-shop. It’s so wonderful for his books and toys. And very, very red. I love it, love it but I’m not sure if I’ll keep it how it is or paint it white. I wonder…

Poppy and Che can start a long distance relationship because I can’t get her off the phones either. I fear that is a bad sign for when she turns 16

    Hi There,
I have this exact same bookcase in my daughters room, it was hand me down from her Nona. I painted hers white on the outside, and a different colour on the inside of each shelf and it looks fabulous.

I have been visiting your blog for awhile now, I have commented sometimes and lurked at others and just wanted to let you know about my new store(s) on etsy and madeit.
I am having a giveaway on my blog to celebrate.

We’ve been more a “aaarow, aaarow” house over here! Very cute photos. I love how children are able to correctly use any style of phone, no matter how old!

how sweet. my youngest (who is 3) still loves pushing buttons and talking on the phone so he’s always playing around with our telephone (the real one)and leaving the receiver off the hook. it’s a good thing no one ever calls.

Beautiful and sweet photos and moments.
I noticed the red accent right away in the background, very striking.
Nice sequence, going on to show the bookcase itself.
Good luck with whatever color you decide. Trust your terrific sense!

    How sweet 🙂
My mum told me that when my brother was little he used to mispronounce “potato” which, in hebrew, when you mispronouce it, means “open” rather than “potato”. He used to ask my grandmother for some “open” regularly and she never quite understood what to cook him.

hehe, funny! Nice to watch them play isn’t it?

I like that bookshelf! I think the red looks fab, it will probably be less bright once it is filled with books and toys.

the bookshelf is just lovely! i’m a huge fan of a punch of red here and there, so i’d keep it vibrant…but that’s just me..;)

oh my, your blog is too adorable! and that book shelf is quite a catch, I looove it. If the color can go with your the room, I wouldn’t paint it, that color is pretty rad.

    have a pleasant day!
