today i saw it

Today i looked through the camera lens.
and i saw something i’d never seen before.
a little boy.
i didn’t see a baby.
and i’m still getting used to it.
he’s all growned up.
and muma’s a bit sad.
happy sad.
you know what i mean.

I just sorted all of The Little One's baby clothes this morning. Seeing those little teeny tiny newborn pieces made me realise how big she's gotten all of a sudden. Made me realise she's no longer a baby. Happy, sad… clucky?

He's absolutely delightful! I'm looking forward to cherishing the same moments on our journey into parenthood…….. I guess it's all about being in the moment….. being here right now.

Isn't it odd how the boy just appears over night. such a journey and so many train stations on the way and each one a treasure.

Trust me, there's so much to come, and he will always, always be your sweet babe.

Then he'll be a lad, then a teen, he'll grow bigger than you – and you, as PottyMouthMama says, will still see your baby. Enjoy the weekend's rain and sunshine.

He is becoming a little man! He is adorable. It is so exciting watching a little one grow into a not so little one. I know what you mean about happy sad. I really know!

    No worries, Mama…
All it will take is watching his little hands for a moment, seeing chubby toes, and sighing over him while he's sleeping… then he's a babe again.
Mine's eight, and it's still alright.

That always is a really bitter sweet moment, knowing that they don't NEED you like they did before but now the actually WANT you to do some much more amazing stuff with them. Those little minds and hearts are amazing as they grow.
